GOTCHA!!!

Hello from Mommie and Lan Lan!

She is just like her mei mei- AMAZING! No tears, smiling like crazy and teaching me Mandarin like a pro! She poses for pictures like Manon did at first. Too funny!
They brought her to the room- five people from the orphanage. They seem very fond of her. You can tell she was very loved. She has jewelery on from her foster mother. They bought her brand new sneakers today. She has a bag of school books and they report she is doing very well in the fourth grade. She read to me already. She was quiet at first but not for long. She is very sweet.
We went for lemon chicken and fried rice in the hotel restaurant. I am going to lose a little weight because she is teaching me how to use chop sticks. She is not used to a fork but does use a big ceramic spoon. She knows cola! Just like someone else did! She took out the ABC cards and said all the letters correctly! She has no trouble speaking to Chinese people. I am hoping to limit the time around others for a few days so she can talk with me and learn English quickly. She is already repeating words and is using thank you instead of the chinese word. Right now she is watching TV while I type. She loved looking at all the pictures and knows Ba Ba, Mei Mei Manon, brothers (but not by name yet). She told the guide she had a dog so that is good.
So far no tears and she seems happy. We are hanging out and I have a little paper work to do soon. Tomorrow we go do the official paperwork and it will be a done deal! I am in shock that it is going so well but we will see if it continues. I have prayed like crazy that it will.
The guide was told that she sleeps with adults not alone. Maybe we need two king size beds! The guide had her take a shower by herself right away and she picked out a cute girly outfit to wear. She is very independent!
She has a runny nose and sounds like a deep chest cold but I will wait until tomorrow to listen to her lungs. CCAI is having a MD come to check her out. Oh, she told the guide she had lots of shots and has a mark on her arm that the guide said is from BCG- the TB vaccine!!!! But no documented immunizations at all. Please pray that the law goes into effect by the 4th.

Love ya guys!

Love mom, Lan Lan
